Our Mission
My passion for coaching and supporting young players unlock their full potential and reach their personal goals, led me to starting this journey. Since the age of 7, football has given me experiences and opportunities I will never forget, and this platform allows me to help the next generation reach the next level and develop their skillset.
At player performance hub, my aim is to help all ages and abilities, and create an environment that allows players to play with smiles on their faces. sessions will be focussed on improving the individual through tailored sessions, with a high focus on the technical aspect of the game.
From the 1-2-1 and small group sessions, the academy & football camps, we have you covered, with UEFA qualified coaches & ex professional players brought in to enhance your game.
My knowledge, experience and continuous understanding of the game, matched with empathy and drive, is what sets player performance hub apart from the rest.
Ben Margetson
Since the age of 7, where my journey began at Cardiff City Academy’s prep squad, football has always been my desired career. I spent 9 years at Cardiff City academy going from U8’s to U16’s, and was offered a two year Scholarship contract at the age of 16. I went on to obtain a two year Professional contract at the age of 18, where I was fortunate enough to be called up to represent Wales in their U21 squad. When my contract came to an end at Cardiff city, I was then offered a contract at Swansea City. During my time at Swansea, I made my debut for Wales U21. When the January transfer window came, an opportunity to step into senior football came up, where I signed for Bromley until the end of the season, and played a part in the club winning the FA Trophy.
After my spell with Bromley I signed for Kidderminster Harriers, who also had a successful season and led to the team being promoted to the National League. During the January transfer window, I made the decision to come back home to play my football and sign for Pontypridd United and kick start my coaching career by enrolling onto the UEFA A Licence Course. In May 2024, I successfully passed my UEFA A Licence and signed for Barry Town United, which is where I currently play my football.
